That is because it has style and a range of features to match its character: sophisticated sports seats with the “Brick” design in the front, refined trim inlays in “Black Onyx” and the striking “Sport” lettering on the leather gear knob make the Golf GT Sport a true eye-catcher. | |
| Best technological innovation of the year Taking the applause: the Golf GT Sport with its powerful TSI engine mated to a dual-clutch gearbox (DSG) was honoured with the “Barcelona International Motor Show Award 2007” for the best technological innovation of the year. A total of over 100 automotive projects had been nominated. The top-level engine, the 125 kW (170 hp) TSI, is a superb example of innovative high-boost engineering and achieves a fuel consumption of only 7.3 litres per 100 kilometres. (Fuel consumption: 7.3 l/100 km; CO2 emissions: 174 g/km)* |
*Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of a vehicle are not only based on the efficient use of fuel by the vehicle itself, but also influenced by handling and other non-technical factors. CO2 is the green house gas which is the main cause of global warming. The values stated were recorded using the prescribed measurement procedure (RL 80/1268/EWG in its current version). The figures stated do not refer to an individual vehicle and are not part of the offer, but merely serve the purpose of comparing different vehicle types. Information about official fuel consumption and the official specific CO2 emissions of new cars are listed in the Guideline for Fuel Consumption and CO2 Emissions of New Cars (“Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch und die CO2-Emissionen neuer Personenkraftwagen”) which is available at all dealerships and from DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Helmuth-Hirth-Straße 1, D-73760 Ostfildern free of charge.
