Critical driving situations can be mastered much better thanks to ABS with comfort brake assist. ABS prevents the wheels from locking during braking. The comfort brake assist supports you with quickly responding braking performance and short pedal travel. In the case of hard braking, it increases brake force automatically many times over, thereby resulting in a decisively shorter braking distance.

Optimum roadholding

The electronic stabilisation program (ESP) for the new Polo with engines from 74 KW upwards, in combination with other dynamic handling control systems such as ABS, EDL, EDC and ASR keeps the vehicle safely on track and reduces the danger of swerving. Sensors monitor the vehicle movements and intervene when necessary in order to guarantee stable handling in all directions.
