In good hands

The Touran opens up new vistas in terms of safety – and ensures a better “overview” through its vehicle height alone. What’s more, the Touran achieved five stars for excellent occupant protection, the highest rating possible, in the 2003 Euro NCAP crash test and boasts six airbags. To assist in critical situations the Touran offers the electronic stabilisation program (ESP) including anti-lock braking system (ABS) and trailer stabilisation.

Functional efficiency is its forte

The multifunction display "plus" provides clear information on everything you need to know during a journey: average speed and average fuel consumption, for example. Also on board is the ParkPilot parking assist system for the rear area. Sensors in the bumpers monitor the distance from obstacles at the rear. An acoustic warning is issued if the vehicle comes too close to an object.
