For those who prefer diesel power, the new Golf Plus offers economical common-rail units with diesel particulate filters. Our common-rail engines are available with outputs ranging from 81 kW to 103 kW (110 – 140 hp) (fuel consumption: 5.1 – 5.6 l/100km; CO2 emissions: 134 – 146 g/km**), and may also be specified with the 6-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox as an option. This combines the sportiness of a manual gearbox with the comfort of an automatic.
