The Touran.

The Touran boasts an extensive choice of engines to complement its winning looks. The petrol range extends from 75 kW up to a 125 kW TSI engine. The diesel line-up starts with the 66 kW TDI and concludes with the 125 kW TDI; the diesel engines can also be ordered with a diesel particulate filter and the DSG dual-clutch gearbox. A particularly economical and eco-friendly alternative is available in the form of the natural-gas-powered 110 kW EcoFuel engine. The Touran opens up new vistas in terms of safety – its height alone gives drivers a superior vantage point. It also comes equipped with six airbags. To assist in critical situations, the Touran offers the electronic stabilisation program (ESP) including anti-lock braking system (ABS) and trailer stabilisation. Extra safety for pedestrians is provided by the pedestrian protection at the front of the vehicle.

The multifunction display "plus" provides clear information on everything you need to know during a journey: average speed and average fuel consumption, for example. Also on board is the ParkPilot parking assist system for the rear area. Sensors in the bumpers monitor the distance from obstacles at the rear. An acoustic warning is issued if the vehicle comes too close to an object.
