The Polo with BlueMotion Technology.
In the summer of 2006 the Polo BlueMotion marked the start of the Volkswagen BlueMotion success story. It was the world's most economical five-seater, consuming less than four litres of fuel over 100 kilometres.
The new Polo with BlueMotionTechnologies follows up seamlessly on this success. Thanks to the new 1.6-litre TDI engine and innovative packages of measures such as the start-stop system, recuperation or streamlined underbody panels, it achieves excellent fuel consumption of 3.7 l/100 km (combined). And this is in spite of its increased comfort and safety equipment levels. Technical innovations that reduce fuel consumption- Start-stop system
- Recuperation (brake energy regeneration)
- Multi-function display with gear recommendation
- Tyres optimised to reduce rolling resistance
- Model specific underbody and rear suspension trim panel
The Polo with BlueMotionTechnologies can be ordered in the “Trendline”, “Comfortline” and “Highline” equipment lines. * The fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of a vehicle do not just depend on the efficient utilisation of the fuel by the vehicle, but are also influenced by driving style and other non-technical factors. CO2 is the greenhouse gas that is primarily responsible for global warming. The values stated were calculated according to the measuring methods specified in the currently applicable version of Directive 80/1268/EEC. The data does not relate to a specific vehicle and is not part of the specification, but is merely for the purpose of comparing different vehicle types. Information on official fuel consumption figures and the official specific CO2 emissions of new passenger cars can be found in the EU guide "Information on the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of new cars", which is available free of charge at all sales dealerships and from DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Helmuth-Hirth-Straße 1,73760 Ostfildern, Germany.
