People, cars - and what drives themAt Autostadt visitors can not only find out all about mobility in general, they can also view exciting movies, take part in hair-raising trips in simulators and experience impressive architecture, relaxing amidst parkland and lakes, and enjoying a meal in one of the seven restaurants.
The beginning of a long friendshipAt Autostadt the journey to collect your new car is turned into a real experience. Your Volkswagen awaits you in one of the site's imposing 20-storey high towers. A member of Volkswagen staff will be assigned to hand over your vehicle in person, also taking a photo to record your "first date" for posterity.
An off-road course in the cityPower through the ford, use the low range ratio to scale the "steps". The Autostadt offers visitors 15,000 square metres of off-road fun, always under the watchful tuition of a qualified instructor, to guide off-road specialists and beginners alike around the course.
A room with a viewThe Ritz-Carlton welcomes its guests in an unusual location. Right on the harbour-side of the Mittelland Canal, the five-star superior-class hotel looks out onto the imposing skyline of the former Volkswagen combined heat-and-power plant. The hotel's 74 rooms and 21 suites are stylishly and exclusively furnished, and a staff of 240 looks after the guests' every need.
Vehicle collectionVehicles are handed over at the Customer Centre from 8.00 am. Customer Check-in (AbholerWelt) is open daily from 7.30 am.
Opening timesAutostadt is open all the year round (except December 24 and 31). All attractions are open from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. On production days, Factory Tours (WerkTour) of the Volkswagen plant take place between 10.15 am and 4.15 pm.
